Adola Samii - Espresso - Washed Coffee

The word Adola means ‘place of gold mining’ in Oromifa which is the local language of the Oromo people. This is the name that the owner Israel Degfa chose for the local community wet mill. This is the second coffee we have bought from Israel this year, and we have been blown away by his work.

Israel dedicates himself to overseeing top quality coffee production and is generously supporting the local farming community by funding an orphanage. The Adola wet mill is buying coffee cherry from the small holder farmers of the area, who will typical own no more than a hectare of land.

This year 15,0000 kilos of green coffee was exported. Each prepared lot is about 6,000 kilos in size and ours is lot number 4.
