Aponte - Espresso - Honey Coffee

The town of Aponte is located near Buesaco in the Nariño region of Colombia. A typical farmer in this area will own 2-5 hectares of land and will focus on growing Caturra. To create this coffee micro-lots from neighbouring farmers have been blended to create one large lot, thus giving more benefit to the community.

Many of the growers are part of the Inga community, an indigenous community that was once a part of the northern-most reaches of the Inca Empire before the Spaniards colonised the area. What makes this coffee unique is the Honey Processing which is extremely rare in Colombia due to large amounts of rainfall.

This gives the cup powerful citrus notes while remaining classic Colombia, we love it!
