Alfredo Baos - Espresso - Washed Coffee

Alfredo has worked with coffee all his life and he is now passing all his knowledge on to his son (Luis) and the wider community. He was born in 1966 in Cauca and in the mid 80s travelled around the region of Popayan picking. By the early 90’s Alfredo was a “Partjero’ (work-partner) of Finca Sinai which is part of San Isidro. Six years later he would be the sole owner along with his wife Elcira and family.

Alfredo grows Caturra and Tabi of which there are around 18000 trees on his 8.1 hectares of land. Growing sugar cane and producing panela is also part of farm life and we were fortunate enough when visiting to fire up the sugar cane mill and drink some fresh ‘Aguapanela’, During our visit we fell in love with this beautiful farm and you could not help but feel the love that Alfredo emits for his work, family and coffee.
