Finca Santa Julia - Filter - Washed Coffee

Finca Santa Julia is located in the Apaneca Ilamatepec region, near the Santa Ana Volcano. This famous and historic area is well known for coffee production and it is here that Jose Antonio Salaverria and his sons own a number of farms.

The Salaverria family trade under the company name of Jasal Group. As well as owning farms they process and mill coffees at their central mill Las Cruces. Much of their success is based on a deep love for coffee, sustainable farming practise and patiences. They are into their 6th generation now and have developed a large team with 50-60 employees living on their farms.

Santa Julia is a 20 hectare farm that predominantly grows bourbon trees however you can also find pacas, pacamara and some hybrids growing too. We chose this 100% bourbon lot purely for it’s sweetness and rich flavour profile which makes for a nice change amongst all the fruity coffees we tend to buy during summer.
