Summer Claude - Espresso - Natural Coffee

It’s mid summer and the roastery is hot... way too hot! Myself and the team have been busy getting my summer coffee purrfected. So wrap your paws around this one find a cool spot under a tree and just chill.

This coffee comes from a privately owned washing station in Nensebo one of the woredas in the Oromia region of southern Ethiopia. Hills and mountain ranges make up most of this region and as with almost all Ethiopian coffees we buy the farmers who grow this beautiful coffee typically own around one hectare of land.

Approximately 1500 trees can be planted on one hectare of land and from that one tree there is around 100-200 grams of green coffee. Everything is hand picked and sold daily to the mill, where cherries are sun dried for 15 - 18 days. Organic compost is common and although not certified it is extremely rare for pesticides to be used in this area of Ethiopia.
