This single lot washed coffee was produced by Wildan Mustofa and his wife Atieq Mustikaningtyas, who own and operate the Frinsa Estate in the highlands of West Java. They began working in coffee in 2010 in the Sindangkerta, Weninggalih area, and now boast 6 growing plots alongside dry and wet mills and ample storing space. They first made a name for Frinsa by focussing on fully washed coffees at a time where most other Indonesian producers were utilising wet-hulled methods.
Frinsa is now renowned for the exceptional quality they consistently achieve on the estate. Wildan is also passionate about fermentation techniques, and sometimes utilises probiotics in his anaerobic processes. Alongside these more experimental fermentation methods, Sarapan is always a quiet showstopper.
‘Sarapan’ translates as ‘breakfast’ in the local Bahasa language, and can also refer to something delicate and beautiful.
